Based on the principles of sharing experiences and strengthening cooperation, communication experts from 15 countries and eight functional airspace blocks (FAB) gathered at the first InterFAB Communication Workshop at DFS Headquarters in Langen, Germany. The purpose of the meeting was to examine communicative aspects of issues from across the FABs, such as performance, traffic development, EU regulations and customer relations management. It also gave participants the opportunity to discuss large-scale solutions for all FABs and air navigation service providers (ANSP) as well as to seek further opportunities for cooperation. The programme was rounded off by communication experts of the 15 participating States and ANSPs sharing best practices and by keynote speeches on topics such as the EU FAB study and a comparison of air navigation services in Europe and the USA.

The second InterFAB Communication Workshop will be organised by the Baltic FAB and is scheduled for January 2018.
